My name is Troy Crittendon. I am a political science major, and I absolutely adore it. I am 18 years old and and a freshman at the University of West Georgia. I sing and act, with an occasional athletic involvement. I also like to start organizations that benefit the needy and that help and provide services to those who need them. I am a generous person socially, but fiscally not so much. I desire to pursue a law degree and start my own firm, after being affiliated with a highly famed firm in the great state of California. After practicing in California I desire to start my own production company that produces not just movies, but television shows and independent films.

  1. So is there a specific famous law firm in California that you want to be affiliated with? Or just any famous one?

For helping the needy, I think some of the UWG 1101 classes will be participating in workshops this fall to make bowls for Empty Bowls. If your section isn't involved, you might want to ask for more info and see if you can go anyway. Empty Bowls is a fundraiser to benefit the local soup kitchen. Members of the community make ceramic bowls to donate, and then once a year (Sunday, February 24, 2013) they have a big luncheon where you pay a minimum donation of $10 to get one of those ceramic bowls to keep and a bowl of soup to eat. Last year the event raised over $23,100 for The Carroll County Soup Kitchen! Making a bowl is a great way to make a contribution, but if you have transportation and want to be more involved, I'm sure they'd love to have help at the event, too!
