So far in my researching endeavors, much modification was done. Our group went from Technology in the modern society, to the evolution of technology as a whole, to the evolution of modern society, I found it quite difficult to change and modify my findings it was almost as if as soon as I get comfortable with my specific topic or Research question things tended to make a complete u-turn and my whole block of information was considered null and void (not that a did a lot of research or anything).
As far as the information found... I found much information in the books that we were sent to sent down scavenge for. I felt as though it was necessary for me to jot down all the books that I had looked for, because when we were supposed to analyze the books we found, I found a lot of information on cell phones and their modern evolution. I feel as though, when researching our group found and narrowed the question we needed to a sound core for an excelling grade
So.... for my usual tangent, I sat there and just thought to my self as I saw the juxtaposition of cell phones now to cell phones then, "and I think to my self, what a wonderful world" Cheesy? Of course. But I feel like we chose the right topic to fully understand the modern marvels of society. So we can fully understand how much of, Social Cavemen we really were in the past.... SO THANK YOU, PROGRESSION, FOR BEING SUCH A MARVELOUS CONCEPT!!!!

Filter Bubbles....
Upon reading about filter bubbles online, and watching that video on them by Eli Pariser, I can faithfully execute my deduction that this personalization method is quite inhibiting. I am heavily upset with this technological method, It has no good outcome and it prevents people from getting accurate and equal results. As a student I find it hard to get work done or to accomplish something in a full capacity when something is personalized just for me or my tendencies.
In respect to the people who create these browsers and, people who contribute to the upkeep of the internet, I appreciate your assistance and your generosity, by making these algorithmic aides, but I am a partially grown man (to be blunt). I can personalize my own searches by myself, and I can do what I need to do with the help of my incredible brains. As a student living in the world of academia, I find it extremely difficult to perform a scholarly work when my main sources, are limited and personalized to me. I feel as though its somewhat preventing me from making good grades and doing what I need to do; because I like to have a wide variety of things to choose from. I am a little indecisive, and I tend to become deadlocked when I have a lot of choices to choose from; but as my motto says "I'd rather have to much to choose from rather than not enough to choose from." I feel as though I could get a lot done with information that is open to much scrutiny and that is public, that I can find information in the little holes of rhetorical flaws...

September 19th In-Class Blog
So far in this class I have a learned a quite bit of useful information. For example, I learned how complicated Google and the whole concept of Google docs is. To be honest.
I personally enjoyed this class because this whole new blog thing is completely life-changing, I feel as though I can say what ever I deemed is necessary. (of course in a politically correct way). But nonetheless I find it inspirational.
Despite that pointless tangent, I feel as though the information learned in this course; so far will do great measures for me in the long-run. from everything to the Library Ethnography, that helped me get a better grasp on how to look up books in this enormous house of literature we call a library. Also when we did thew CRAP replacement test, that specific activity opened my eyes to see how people thought of how valid a website is. By that assignment I was able to pick up some more pointers on how useful a website is. In a sense, It erased all of my doubts, and questions on, if a website is good moderate or bad.
The citations we all participated in most recently, also did me well. because when I'm in a class and the professor asks me cite I also have a better grasp on the subject of citations. Just recently I was told to cite something by my astronomy professor, on an extra-credit assignment that was given to us, and I said CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!!!!

Extra Credit: Debate Analysis
I am one of the students that attended the Debate on September 12th, 2012. The debate featured students from Clark Atlanta University, Spellman College, and two fellow UWG wolves. The topic was HBCUs (Historically Black Colleges and Universities), and rather you attend one or choose another post-secondary school to attend. It was quite interesting, because I have a personal, first-hand experience in that particular subject; because I too wanted to attend one of the most highly prestigious HBCUs in the land.... MOREHOUSE COLLEGE!!! I got accepted and everything, but when that bill came for $46,000 a year, I quickly abated that option.
The Students from UWG took the counter side of the argument, and argued why you should not attend an HBCU. There delivery was solid, and it was well-developed. They were able to reach my Pathos, by having a stern and affluent exterior and speaking really well. They were able to reach my Logos, because the cleverly utilized the sources found they were using statistics; a lot more heavily than the opposing team. Although I cannot recall the exact sources used, I can say that they hit a home run when it came to that aspect. I was greatly surprised at how capable two young men were able to connect with my Ethos. they utilized quotations that actually hit the heart. Both their passion and there dignity were outstanding and it definitely enhanced their part of the argument. The only real flaw that I saw that weaved its pesky little head into mere perfection, was the fact that they kept on bringing the Student Debt and Default concept up. Yeah! we get it that HBCU's cost an arm and a leg, but please harp on some more reasons on why a regular College or University is better than a Historically Black One.
On to the opposing team it may seem as though I may become biased, but I witnessed some horrendous argumentative skills when it came time for the HBCUs to hit the microphone...
The young lady from Spellman, was extremely abrasive. Her vocal skills were not bad at all, but her delivery was... (let's just say you could tell she had been up all night practicing that exact speech, so she can say it exactly verbatim.). When it came time for the Cross-examination part of the argument, one could tell she either wasn't prepared, and that she did not know the answer to the tough questions, or that she just wanted to be a smart, crass, and sarcastic individual just for the sole purpose of arguing. For that...respect was lost!!!
The young man from Clark, was miles better than the female, but yet still was not nearly comparable to the calm, cool, and collected, Wolves. about 50% of his argument was considered invalid to me. mainly for the sole reason that, he seemed slightly scatter-brained almost as if, he was fishing for information in the deep recesses of his brain.
*IF AT ANY TIME IN AN ARGUMENT YOU SEEM LIKE YOU CONTRADICT YOURSELF... THAN YOUR ARGUMENT BECOMES NULL AND VOID TO ME*
And that is precisely what happened, the young man just talked himself into an unforgiving hole of rhetorical peat. So for that, if I had to choose which party one, the evidently clear answer would be the mighty wolves of West Georgia!!!
This one experience of this debate just increased my interest in the debate team. EXPONENTIALLY!!! I would most definitely return.

Citation Homework
Coggin, Gerard. Cell Phone Culture: Mobile Technology in Everyday life . New York: Routledge Publishing, 2006. Print.
- This book is about modern cell phone culture, and how it has changed our society; as a whole. It also goes into detail on how cell phones work.
- This work is credible because it assess the validity of cell phones very accurately. It's contents are unmatched compared to my previous research with books of this nature.
- I would utilize the books sophisticated information, to spruce up my paper if you will; with the different information on how things work with cell phones, to the intercontinental sale of them would be very useful in answering my question.

Well when I went to high school, I went to a poorly funded high school, that was built inn the 60's. and my school was a part of a school system that was not really intelligent with their money spending methods. So it was safe to assume that library books and resources were not as plentiful as they should have been, here at the University of West Georgia, books, catalogs and other materials that go along with a library are far from scarce. The catalog here at UWG is the utmost helpful, I could find pretty much any book I desire, and the books here all assess aspects of many things in the area of which the book is pertained to.
I indeed was shocked, (as mentioned earlier from the September 11th post.) that when I typed in something so normal, such as smartphones the library did not contain any material like such as that, so it indeed was a shock to me.
I also like how the books here challenge at least a little part of some intellectual thinking, like pretty much all books. But I like to find enlightenment in things; be it emotional, spiritual, or mental, and the books here just something about the spark a fire of inspiration and ignite my flames of inquiries.

For my research interview I interviewed My friend Terrell. He is currently in Graduate School here at The University of West Georgia for Music.
When I asked Terrel if he had done a research paper in college before he quickly retorted more vulgarly
"Hecks Yeah I've done a research paper in college before"
When I asked him if there was any specific paper that came in mind, he had mentioned his American Government class, his freshman year, he stated.
"Man! that was one intense paper right there!"
So I asked him would this particular research paper entail he paused for a minute. I don't really know why he paused but it was slightly puzzling. Anyways he then picked the conversation back up and said.
"I remember I had to go up and down those halls of that library to find book after book, after book."
I then asked him, "What kind of things did your professor require for this research paper? He told me that his professor required him to write a 6 page paper of the affects of the Civil War and its evolution to form this country to be what it is today. He then says...
"It was hard for me to narrow that sucker down, because the topic was just so broad it was almost inexplicable."
So he then goes and tells me that his professor gave him a list of prominent websites that most collegiate students go to for information, like history channel, government websites, and other educational databases and told them that they could not use them, so what he did was that he researched almost every little detail by encyclopedia, the permissible websites, and books. Now here is the kicker. He then says...
"All that extraneous work and anguish and you know what grade I got?"
I answer "What grade did you get?"
He angrily states "I got a 60."
With so sympathy for him he picks himself back up and says...
"That was a learning lesson for my all of my collegiate endeavors to not forget to site his sources."
What an interesting interview this was

What an interesting interview this was
My groups main topic is technology and its modern evolution, and my concentrated ideal is cell phones, (more frequently known as smartphones) and their evolution to form today's society.
Today when I went to the library and attempted to search for smartphones nothing came up. (I guess since its still a relatively current phenomena, Smartphones have not really crossed the threshold of many university libraries in the form of books and research material.) Then I utilized my vocabulary and went to use words such as... cell phones, cellular devices, and mobile communication, and I got a plethora of information.
During my search for books to use I found three books but I only needed one, so it was time to research and find which one was better.
1. Cell Phone Culture: Mobile Technology in Everyday life by Gerard Goggin
2. Magic in the air: Mobile communication and the transformation of social life by James E. Katz
3. New Tech, New Ties: How mobile Communication is Reshaping Social Cohesion by Rich Ling
After careful assessment I chose to use Option 1. I chose Cell Phone Culture because I actually, like the format of the book. Its a more specific kind of book. This book goes to the days these incredible electronic things were born to the current day. I expresses its unique abilities and goes down into detail of the way text messaging evolved and the way video chatting even changed mobile usage.
Answering my particular research question with this book will not be a difficult feat, mainly because this book contains all of the information both needed and desired about my topic. I would utilize the books sophisticated information, to spruce up my paper if you will; with the different information on how things work with cell phones, to the intercontinental sale of them would be very useful in answering my question.

I will refine my research question, by talking about the 20th and the 21st century, Not to say it's perfect, but I will basically its pretty much refined, but there is always a way to change things and make them for the better. I am always up to a challenge. Making the topic or question specific is the best way to make this a good question, I will push for my group to talk specifically about cell phones, and laptops as the technology into question. I also think it would be necessary to talk about the certain websites or pages brought up and how has it evolved over time. Today, there are many different things that has and have changed modern culture to everything from Ipods to tablets which are almost like a portable computer, and everything included like the cotton gin from the older days to the knife to other basic materials that started and originated in the past times. Technology is not just electronics. According to Webster technology is defined as tools or methods that aide in the production of or the mechanics of a item. Technology has changed our society and in more ways than one has it done that, the world would not be what it is today without it.
