September 19th In-Class Blog

So far in this class I have a learned a quite bit of useful information. For example, I learned how complicated Google and the whole concept of Google docs is.  To be honest.

I personally enjoyed this class because this whole new blog thing is completely life-changing, I feel as though I can say what ever I deemed is necessary. (of course in a politically correct way). But nonetheless I find it inspirational.

Despite that pointless tangent, I feel as though the information learned in this course; so far will do great measures for me in the long-run. from everything to the Library Ethnography, that helped me get a better grasp on how to look up books in this enormous house of literature we call a library. Also when we did thew CRAP replacement test, that specific activity opened my eyes to see how people thought of how valid a website is. By that assignment I was able to pick up some more pointers on how useful a website is.  In a sense, It erased all of my doubts, and questions on, if a website is good moderate or bad.

The citations we all participated in most recently, also did me well. because when I'm in a class and the professor asks me cite I also have a better grasp on the subject of citations.  Just recently I was told to cite something by my astronomy professor, on an extra-credit assignment that was given to us, and I said CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!!!!

  1. I enjoy reading your posts! :) I agree with you on all your homework references. Every single one of them has helped us in furthering our knowledge on how to research. I think the CRAP test was so good too, and it was fun. When we cite websites, we know what we got based on that knowledge. Awesome job!

  2. Not gonna lie, google docs frustrated me the first couple of times I tried to use it, too. But now, I don't know how my colleagues and I would get anything done without it. We do a lot of collaborative stuff, from building class assignments together to presenting at conferences together, and g-docs makes it a lot easy to work on all of that stuff together.

And as you progress through your career here at UWG, you may want to think about setting up another blog to discuss stuff you're working on in your major. Blogs are a great way to network with other people in your field, learn about recent stuff going on (by reading other peoples' blogs), and get feedback on the stuff you're working on... You just have to apply your evaluation criteria when deciding whose blogs are worth bothering to read and comment on!
