Well when I went to high school, I went to a poorly funded high school, that was built inn the 60's. and my school was a part of a school system that was not really intelligent with their money spending methods. So it was safe to assume that library books and resources were not as plentiful as they should have been, here at the University of West Georgia, books, catalogs and other materials that go along with a library are far from scarce. The catalog here at UWG is the utmost helpful, I could find pretty much any book I desire, and the books here all assess aspects of many things in the area of which the book is pertained to.
I indeed was shocked, (as mentioned earlier from the September 11th post.) that when I typed in something so normal, such as smartphones the library did not contain any material like such as that, so it indeed was a shock to me.
I also like how the books here challenge at least a little part of some intellectual thinking, like pretty much all books. But I like to find enlightenment in things; be it emotional, spiritual, or mental, and the books here just something about the spark a fire of inspiration and ignite my flames of inquiries.
That is unfortunate that your school system waste money. I think that every student should have the same resources. West Georgia is a college so I would hope that library would have books that challenge you. Yes! West Georgia does have the most updated technology and equipment to help assist you. I agree with you that the catalog is helpful.
